Chloe Dehn
Chloe Dehn serves as the Marketing and Graphic Design Director of Butterfly Books. Chloe is a student at James Madison High School in Vienna, VA. She enjoys vintage fashion and international travel. She is also passionate about art and hopes to study visual design in college to prepare for a career as a concept artist in the gaming and entertainment industry. Chloe’s favorite book is The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall. This biographical novel tells the story of a young man’s encounter and unexpected relationship with a misunderstood eccentric junk man who turns discarded artifacts into imaginative sculpture. The story is an emotional journey that explores themes of grief, redemption, and inter-generational relationships. The sculpture at the center of the story is actually displayed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and viewing the piece in person illustrates the power of art and storytelling. For Chloe, promoting literacy is a cause that is very personal. Diagnosed with dyslexia in elementary school, Chloe struggled with reading. Over time, she has become a proficient reader and developed a love for learning. Chloe’s creative entrepreneurial spirit and her confidence in her ability to connect with others lead her to join Butterfly Books. The group’s mission aligns with her commitment to helping children with language-based learning disabilities. Chloe shares the sentiment of a fellow dyslexic who once said, “All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them.” – Magic Johnson
