Little Libraries

Our Little Libraries aim to increase access to literature across the DMV, especially within underserved communities. Each library holds books for a variety of ages and interests, making sure everyone can select something they will enjoy!

Falls Church-McLean Children's Center

Butterfly Books proudly installed our first two handmade Little Libraries at the Falls Church-McLean Children's Center! Waterproof, protective paint ensures that students can enjoy reading whenever they choose.
A Wider Circle Headquarters

Butterfly Books is excited to begin a brand new partnership with a Wider Circle, stocking and maintaining a joint Little Library! We look forward to spreading a joy of reading together.
Sterling Immigration Courthouse

Butterfly Books is overjoyed to announce our very first Library installation in collaboration with Sterling's Immigration Court! We hope that these books can serve as a small source of support and inspiration, helping the children and families navigate their experiences with courage and hope. The books are free for the children to take home and are intended to provide moments of happiness and serve as an educational resource.
The Children's Inn at the NIH

Butterfly Books is proud to have inspired the Inn to create their very own Little Library, dedicated to our organization. Our donated books have facilitated this brand new installation, and the team is thrilled to support the Center's mission to spread literacy.
