Sivan Kalkstein

Sivan is currently a junior at the Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. She is the captain of Madeira’s varsity cross country team and a member of their varsity rock climbing team. At school, Sivan is the co-head of SACA (Madeira’s Sexual Assault and Consent Awareness Club) and enjoys history- and English-based classes the most. In her free time, she loves creative writing, including songs, poems, and even books. Sivan joined Butterfly Books because of her deep love of reading and her desire to spread that love of literature to everyone by making access to books easier. With her passion for marketing, Sivan hopes to raise awareness about the significant impact that donating books to underserved communities can have while inspiring others to join Butterfly Book’s mission.
