Lisa Noto
Lisa is the proud mother of Lucia who is the Founder of Butterfly Books! Lisa loves to work with children and has done so as Assistant Principal and Director of the Counseling Department at a private school for children with emotional issues and learning disabilities. For decades, she also owned and operated an outpatient psychotherapy practice. Lisa is happily turning her attention to the role of Secretary of the Board of Directors to support Butterfly Books. She is an active volunteer in the community and holds two other Board positions through volunteer endeavors. Lisa was taught at a young age that service to others is a family priority. Her favorite pastime is reading and as a young child, she could be seen walking back and forth to the library with more books than she could carry including her first novel,The Diary of Anne Frank, which left an indelible impression. Lisa's favorite author is Jane Austen, debuting at the top of all of her favorite books is Pride and Prejudice. Lisa believes promoting a love of reading is paramount in early childhood and grows with age. She warmly remembers Lucia's first phrase was "turn the page," as her grandmother sat reading to her, book after book. It is with pleasure that Lisa supports Butterfly Books which seamlessly fits with the family's engagement in community service by reaching out to provide one book at a time to transform the lives of children in greatest need. She strongly believes that literacy opens up young minds to a whole new world and is a gateway to freedom and independence; all children should have access to literature.
